TROWBRIDGE Town completed the league and cup double with an emphatic 9-1 win over White Horse, Calne, in the Under 11s League Cup final.Trowbridge never looked like losing this game after taking the lead after five minutes through Matthew Morris. Conner Mckay added the second two minutes later with an overhead kick from a corner and Tom Green added a third before half-time with a shot from outside the box.
The second half continued with Trowbridge putting pressure on White Horse with a fourth goal from Joe Blais.
White Horse then pulled a goal back with an excellent free kick from the edge of the box.
Trowbridge immediately responded with a fifth through Conner McKay and Tom Green got his second and Trowbridge's sixth.
Credit should go to White Horse who never allowed their heads to drop even when Trowbridge scored their seventh when Morris got his second goal with a shot from the edge of the box.
Joe Blais then got his second and Trowbridge's eighth with five minutes to go and Joe France then got his name on the score sheet when he headed in Trowbridge's ninth from a corner on the left hand side.
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth dominated possession throughout the Under 12s League Cup final against Devizes Town Youth.Trowbridge took the lead midway through the first half with a terrific shot from Tom Maynard and their lead was doubled when Elliot Hughes was brought down in the box by the Devizes goalkeeper and Ashley Rendall converted the penalty.
Devizes pulled a goal back just before half-time through Bradley Hill due to Town not being able to clear the danger.
Trowbridge created numerous chances in the second half but these were not converted and they were made to pay when a through ball split their defence and Hill broke free and scored with a well taken shot to level the scores.
This then spurred Trowbridge on to play their best football of the game and it was soon 3-2, with Oliver Nash scoring from a cross before Ashley Rendall converted a free kick from outside of the penalty box to make it 4-2.
Trowbridge peppered the Devizes goal and were unlucky not to add further goals to their tally. Trowbridge were impressive for the majority of the game, with Ashley Rendall and George Hall in outstanding form.
TROWBRIDGE Town lifted the Barry Curtis Memorial Trophy after beating Worton and Cheverell 4-1 in the Under 16s League Cup final.Before the match both teams and their young mascots were presented to Mr Terry Curtis and his grandson and grand-daughter. Megan King was the TTYFC mascot.
Trowbridge gave a very good team performance throughout the game and controlled most of the first half, with Jake Hiscocks giving them the lead after eight minutes.
It was half an hour before they found the net for the second time, with Tom Mackinder increasing their tally.
During the last 20 minutes of the half Worton had several good attempts on goal but were either just wide or denied by the superb efforts of Glen Murley in the Trowbridge goal. Jamie Jordan made it 3-0 just before the break.
The second half was much closer, although a fourth goal for Trowbridge from Ryan Spong put the game out of Worton's reach.
