Training Under 9's

Hi if you were born between 1 Sep 98 and 31 Aug 99 then it's us you want. We currently train at Southwick Playing Field on Monday evening from 6pm til 7.30. We are currently full to capacity but do have a waiting list so to put your name down e mail us via the web site or phone 01225 753915 .

Under 9's Fair Play award

TTYFC under 9's C Team the Eagles managed by myself were named 2007/08 Fairplay winners by the league. This award is given to the team in each age group who have accumulated the most points awarded by opposing teams throughout the season for the good conduct of the players and supporters at their matches. The Eagles are very proud of this award. To celebrate they played an exhibition match on 3 May versus runners up Trowbridge Wanderers B at Boscombe where they all received medals in recognition of this great achievement. The team and I pride ourselves on our discipline and good spotsmanship and were delighted to receive this recognition for our efforts.

Under 9 - Cup Final Report

In weather more suited to cricket Trowbridge Town Youth started the final with three strong attacks which were absorbed by the Melksham Park defence. Great movement from Aston Shanley and cleaver runs from Tobby Brewer put the pressure on Melksham early on.

The game then became more even with good attacking runs from Melksham.

The second half was memorable high standard of football and the game seemed to be heading into extra-time when with five minutes to go Trowbridge Town conceded a free kick just outside their area.

Tommy Ireland took the ball and scored the winner.

Trowbridge were a credit to themselves and the Club and can consider themselves unlucky not to have won this very tight final.
